Dems Are Coming for the Christians

A “Secular America” group supported by congressional Democrats recently sent a 28-page letter to the incoming Biden administration demanding (among other evil things) that conservative Christians be removed and banned from public office, and that Trump supporters be “reeducated.”

The group, called Secular Democrats of America sent the letter to Biden’s team under the title “Restoring Constitutional Secularism and Patriotic Pluralism in the White House: Prepared exclusively by Secular Democrats of America PAC for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris Transition Team.”

The group called on Biden and his merry band of Marxists to stop using the term “Judeo-Christian values,” even though the laws and rights enshrined in the American founding documents clearly find their source in the Holy Bible.

The document blamed religious Americans and our “disdain for expertise” for COVID-19 deaths, ignoring that the so-called experts have been wrong nearly every step of the way:

Policy decisions that should be guided by science and evidence — on matters ranging from climate change to comprehensive sex education to federal funding for stem cell research — have been skewed or blocked entirely by powerful religious interest groups and further undermined at every turn by the Trump administration. There is no example more grave than this administration’s lethal mishandling of the COVID-19 global pandemic, which has brought death to hundreds of thousands of Americans. Disregard for science and disdain for expertise have reached an all-time high in this Administration of magical thinkers and conspiracy theorists, but these policy distortions did not begin with the Trump administration and will not end without deliberate action to restore rationalist, scientific and pragmatic policy methods and judgment. We believe that now is the right time to make the case for reviving a Jeffersonian approach to governance that favors reason, science, and evidence, and to disentangle government policy from the influence of sectarian religious interests that have become dangerously entrenched at all levels of government.

The document lumps conservative Christians in with white supremacists:

We urge you not to underestimate the institutional strength of what we refer to (interchangeably) in this document as the ‘Christian nationalist movement’ or the ‘religious right.’ … Its extreme and sectarian agenda is on constant display under the Trump-Pence administration. Its political ideology is anti-democratic and anti-scientific. It provides constant cover for white supremacy.

The 28-page manifesto reads like a laundry list of Marxist pet causes and a dream list of the ways these people want to fundamentally transform America into the kind of socialist utopia that crushes freedom and leads to the civil enslavement of religious people. Now that the election has been successfully stolen and the courts have proved themselves no protectors of the Constitution, we are running out of remedies for stopping this kind of evil. Good Christians, praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
