Ignoramus Jason Crow Doesn’t Understand that Government Doesn’t Create Anything

In a recent op-ed shilling for Joe Biden’s American Jobs Plan, firearms ignoramus and Twitter-borne Ranger Hunter Rep. Jason Crow (along with Colorado AFL-CIO Executive Director Dennis Dougherty) claim the fix for government-caused economic calamity, unemployment, and skyrocketing prices is green union jobs.

Yes, Crow thinks that the government creates jobs. This makes some sense from a man who has been working on the taxpayer dime most of his life.

Much like a person who doesn’t understand that using a coupon doesn’t mean a net gain in the money in their pocket, Crow seriously thinks that the infrastructure changes necessary to facilitate a shift to electric vehicles actually creates jobs. He makes no mention of the fact that these jobs would be replacing current infrastructure and energy jobs that are destroyed by a push towards so-called green energy, nor does he mention that these “created” jobs require massive government interference in the market, which always leads to inefficiency, waste, abuse, fraud, and a general loss of freedom – something he supposedly swore to defend.

Crow also touts his and Senator Michael Bennet’s Outdoor Restoration Partnership Act (part of the American Jobs Plan), which he claims will “create and sustain 2 million jobs by supporting locally led forest health and watershed restoration projects.” These “created” jobs will of course be paid for by American taxpayers, meaning the jobs are not created at all but rather wealth transferred from the pockets of citizens into the controlling hands of government officials like Crow.

Much like moving a dollar from one pocket to another doesn’t “create” a dollar, destroying one industry’s jobs to create another doesn’t create jobs. Citizens of Colorado’s 6th Congressional District with a shred of common sense understand this. The same citizens need to understand that they have elected a union-shilling, shamelessly ignorant politician who has no clue how jobs are actually created, much less created any jobs himself.
