WHO Moves the Goalposts, Colorado’s COVID “Problem” Going Away

The unscientific PCR test that has been the basis for the scaremongering in Colorado and many other states was adjusted in January by the WHO to require fewer cycles of magnification, resulting in up to 90% fewer positive results among those who are tested. The update reminds testers that the test is an aid, and must be interpreted with actual indicators (like symptoms):

Most PCR assays are indicated as an aid for diagnosis, therefore, health care providers must consider any result in combination with timing of sampling, specimen type, assay specifics, clinical observations, patient history, confirmed status of any contacts, and epidemiological information.

Updated data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is now showing the results of the changed definition of positive:

The above graphs show a very clear trend: Even though testing has continued to climb in the state, new positivity has fallen sharply. Overall test positivity has held fairly steady since the beginning of December, meaning the new cases have continued to follow new tests, but now that the standard for being positive is lower, the number of new cases is predictably falling even though testing continues to increase.

This new standard by the WHO was conveniently introduced after the presidential election, and will undoubtedly result in lockdown politicians being able to take credit for “solving” the coronavirus, just like we could “solve” obesity by simply increasing the body mass index required for a person to be defined as obese.
